It started with honesty.
Years ago, our founder was just a bowler who loved the game and loved testing gear. He began sharing detailed, no fluff reviews of bowling balls he personally bought and threw. No sponsorships. No brand bias. Just real feedback from real lanes.
People noticed.
A community started forming around those reviews. Bowlers who wanted the truth, not marketing hype. As that following grew, something else became clear. Most bowling equipment was not actually built for bowlers like him.
Many products were designed to cater to a specific demographic or bowling style. Balls he genuinely loved were constantly being discontinued. New releases felt increasingly assisted, engineered to do the work for you instead of rewarding skill.
Think of it like this.
Imagine a baseball pitcher who built his entire game around throwing an elite curveball. Then baseballs start curving on their own. The thing that made him great no longer matters. His natural ability is neutralized.
That is how bowling started to feel.
Ironically, he was throwing better shots and scoring better with balls that did not do everything for him. Balls that respected technique, control, and feel. But those options were becoming harder and harder to find.
What made it even more frustrating was that honesty did not earn trust from brands. It pushed him away. Instead of being rewarded for truthful reviews, doors started closing. After nearly a decade of staying true to his voice, it became clear. If he wanted equipment that actually worked for him, he would have to create it himself.
So he did.
After nine to ten years of reviewing, testing, and learning, HIH Bowling was born. What started as simple merchandise turned into something much bigger. Manufacturing bowling balls designed around natural ability, not artificial help.
Balls that do not hide flaws but do not fight you either.
